As Basement Search Reality TV Show continue to gather momentum and receive rare reviews ahead of its planned tour of cities in Nigeria,the Chief Executive Officer, (CEO)of Basement Africa Productions, organisers of the event, Engr Okiemute, says the winner of the Reality TV show – ‘The Film Makers Edition’ – will go home with a brand new car and mouth watery items worth twenty five million naira.
The organizers of the event have so far covered the cities of Warri and Port- Harcourt where thousands of Nollywood lovers and aspiring actors besieged the audition venue angling for a spot at the event which insiders say will yank the youth at midriff and showcase their latent potentials.
Engr Okiemute, in a statement he made available to Journalists, said participants are expected to showcase their acting skills with a view to endearing themselves to the Judges as they compete to outshine their contemporaries.
Shedding light on the auspicious event,he said other places covered in the tour include: Aba,Abia State, Owerri,Imo State and Awka,Anambra State.
The audition train is expected to hit Enugu and Benin at Ofuobi African Cultural Centre and Hexagon April 10 and 13, respectively while Golden Tulip Hotel Jericho, Ibadan; Grand Cubana, Abuja and Vienna Hotel, Asaba will play host on April 16, 20 and 24,2021 respectively.
Accreditation for participants according to the organisers, kicks off at 10a.m.
With the stakes getting high and the competition,tougher, the train is expected to go round a total of ten locations to pick potential film makers into the House, where contestants will compete for the grand prize of a brand new car and 25million worth of prizes.
Thirty housemates will be elected to the House for 42 days with movie makers on hand to horn,sharpen and develop the movie making skills of the house mates.
A winner is expected to emerge through voting by the viewing audience who would vote for their favourite contestants from the comfort of their homes.
The programme is conceptualized and anchored on the prism of identifying and creating a fresh set of movie stars for the Nigerian film industry.
