I left Enugu for Rivers State on June 23,2021.
Unfortunately, I boarded a wrong bus in the park. The last thing I can remember was texting my sister that I was on my way to Port-Harcourt.
Shortly after that, I felt something cold on my nose and I dozed off. I woke up in one bungalow with 6 persons tied to a chair.
That was when it dawned on me that I have been kidnapped.
There was this guy sitting down with a gun looking at us who never said a word until one huge looking man came out of the bungalow and started telling us to pray first with a hot slap. After that, he told us that we have been kidnapped and that we should not be afraid that as soon as our relatives cooperate with them, nothing will happen to us.
He now asked the first person his name and who to call, The guy’s name was Philip. Philip said he doesn’t have anyone to call that he is just a normal business man trying to make ends meet.On hearing that, they skipped him and said he wasn’t ready to cooperate yet.
When it reached my turn,I told them it’s only my sister I can call which they did and they told my sister if she likes, she should go and tell the Police or Army that there’s nothing they can do about my situation.
The kidnappers told my sister to look for three million naira ransom or she won’t see me again.
Those heartless people killed Philip and one girl right before me because they could not meet up with their demands while three others were freed after their relatives paid a ransom of two million naira each.
I was not killed because my sister cooperated, communicated with the hoodlums and after a week of continous negotiations, she sold some valuables and raised two million naira.
In the meantime, they beat me up mercilessly and every night from the 26th,two of the gang members raped me repeatedly.
When my sister finally paid the ransom, they dropped me off at 4corners near Agbani in the middle of the night.
I am presently in hospital receiving treatment.
I am so traumatized that I keep seeing the faces of Philip and that innocent girl who were murdered and cut to pieces in my presence.
I can vividly remember where we were kept by the kidnappers.
On my way to freedom, we met the Police who didn’t bother to look into the car we were riding in but waved us on.
The kidnappers also withdrew everything I had left on my account which was about N268,000.
I am shattered. Nigerians especially commutters should be careful. These are evil times.
