Car Wash Operator Who Absconded With Customer’s Vehicle In Lagos Arrested Enroute Benin Republic!

Security operatives attached to Ogun State Police Command have arrested one Kazee Olanrewaju,a Lagos car washer, who absconded with a customer’s Toyota Venza car with registration number APP 775 GB while the owner was having a haircut in a nearby barber’s shop.

The suspect was arrested, when the Divisional Police Officer,(DPO) Idiroko Division, Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), Shadrach Oriloye, was on routine patrol with his men, and sighted the Venza car without number plate which was driven in a suspicious manner.

Curious,the officers flagged the suspect down, but he refused to stop. He was subsequently chased and apprehended by the eagle-eyed Policemen.

When the vehicle was search, the officers discovered that its number plate was removed and kept in the car.

On interrogation, he confessed that he was working with a car wash in Festac Town, Lagos State, and that he was given the car by a customer to wash while the owner went to a nearby barbing saloon to have his hair cut.

Being in possession of the car key,he decided to bolt away with it.

He said he was on his way to neighbouring Benin Republic to dispose the car when he was accosted and arrested by the DPO and his team.
